Looking to 2026

It’s just been too long.

Simple.

I have for this as I have for many things a myriad of excuses why walking another Camino has been postponed. I like to flatter myself thinking this is just human nature. On the other hand I know myself. It’s more than likely procrastination, plain and simple.

There is one major reason to start thinking about another Camino. It’s been a decade since walking the first, and it will be 7 years since my last.

The thought or recreating our amazing Camino of 2013 is ridiculous let alone either of my subsequent Caminos. It’s in my craw to just get back and walk.

Then came an invitation; one I was suddenly thinking….”This sounds like a lot of fun”.

So I booked myself in.

I will be leaving Canada on October 21st and will start walking the Camino Frances from Sarria to Santiago. Admittedly this is the shortest Camino I have walked, but I definitely plan to enjoy every kilometre. If you care to follow me, that’s appreciated. If you care to send me messages I would really appreciate it.

Why such a short Camino? I have a one word answer. I’m old, fat, and out of shape. If you think that’s not one word you are wrong.

Ha ha ha ha

    • Without question two of my favourite “Camino People” and part of my first Camino Family. I would really like to see you both again. I will write an email….
